The MOD’s Defence Fuels and Food Team (DFFS) is responsible for the management and financial control of the support of food to the Armed Forces. DFFS forms part of the Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S).
MoD's Defence Fuels and Food Team
DFFS is part of the Logistic Commodities within the Joint Support Chain area of Defence Equipment & Supply (DE&S). The team were formed in Ensleigh in July 2011 with a merger of Defence Food Services and Defence Fuels Group.
DFFS is expected to move to Abbey Wood in November 2011 as part of collocation of the Commodities Cluster teams with Joint Support Chain.
Food Mission : to ensure the provision of Food and Food Services to our Armed Forces for operations and training now and in the future.
Vision : Complete confidence in the global provision of Food and Food Services to the Armed Forces.
Responsible for the acquisition, storage, delivery of food to all 3 services worldwide except for PAYD/CRL.
